Description
Human SMARCD3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SMARCD3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Arg149-Pro367, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.72 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily D member 3 is a ~55 kDa protein. Involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). For research use only.
Component of SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complexes that carry out key enzymatic activities, changing chromatin structure by altering DNA-histone contacts within a nucleosome in an ATP-dependent manner. Stimulates nuclear receptor mediated transcription. Belongs to the neural progenitors-specific chromatin remodeling complex (npBAF complex) and the neuron-specific chromatin remodeling complex (nBAF complex). During neural development a switch from a stem/progenitor to a postmitotic chromatin remodeling mechanism occurs as neurons exit the cell cycle and become committed to their adult state.
