Human SNCB Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ala134, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.45 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Beta-synuclein is a ~14 kDa protein. Non-amyloid component of senile plaques found in Alzheimer disease. For research use only.
Could act as a regulator of SNCA aggregation process. Protects neurons from staurosporine and 6-hydroxy dopamine (6OHDA)-stimulated caspase activation in a p53/TP53-dependent manner. Contributes to restore the SNCA anti-apoptotic function abolished by 6OHDA. Not found in the Lewy bodies associated with Parkinson disease.
