Description

Human SNX17 ELISA Kit

Human SNX17 ELISA kits are used to detect Sorting Nexin 17 (SNX17) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. SNX17 is an endosome-associated member of the sorting nexin family that binds membranes enriched in phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate. It is a critical regulator of endosomal recycling, recognising NPxY motifs in the cytoplasmic tails of many cell surface proteins. Working together with the retriever and CCC complexes, SNX17 diverts cargo such as beta-1 and beta-5 integrins and their partner alpha subunits away from lysosomal degradation and back to the plasma membrane. It is also needed to maintain normal surface levels of APP and LRP1, which links it to cell adhesion, receptor turnover and amyloid precursor processing. These roles make SNX17 a research target in trafficking, cell migration and neurodegeneration studies.
