Description
Human SUCLA2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SUCLA2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser54-Glu445, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 44.76 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Succinate--CoA ligase [ADP-forming] subunit beta, mitochondrial (SUCLA2) is a ~50 kDa protein. ATP-specific succinyl-CoA synthetase functions in the citric acid cycle (TCA), coupling the hydrolysis of succinyl-CoA to the synthesis of ATP and thus represents the only step of substrate-level phosphorylation in the TCA. For research use only.
The beta subunit provides nucleotide specificity of the enzyme and binds the substrate succinate, while the binding sites for coenzyme A and phosphate are found in the alpha subunit. Also able to act as an ATP-specific itaconyl- and malyl-CoA synthetase.
