Description
Human SULT1C3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SULT1C3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ile304, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 38.05 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Sulfotransferase 1C3 is a ~35 kDa protein. Sulfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) as sulfonate donor. For research use only.
Has sulfotransferase activity towards various substrates, such as bile acids, thyroid hormones and toward xenobiotic compounds such as chloro phenols and hydroxypyrenes. Lithocholic acid appears to be the best substrate among the endogenous compounds tested and 3,3',5,5'-tetrachloro-4,4'-biphenyldiol shows the highest specific activity among the xenobiotic compounds.
