Human SYNC Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met332-Val482, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 44.55 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Syncoilin is a ~55 kDa protein. Atypical type III intermediate filament (IF) protein that may play a supportive role in the efficient coupling of mechanical stress between the myofibril and fiber exterior. For research use only.
May facilitate lateral force transmission during skeletal muscle contraction. Does not form homofilaments nor heterofilaments with other IF proteins.
