Human TAF1A Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human TAF1A Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly44-Leu450, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 50.28 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. TATA box-binding protein-associated factor RNA polymerase I subunit A is a ~52 kDa protein. Component of the transcription factor SL1/TIF-IB complex, which is involved in the assembly of the PIC (pre-initiation complex) during RNA polymerase I-dependent transcription. For research use only.

The rate of PIC formation probably is primarily dependent on the rate of association of SL1/TIF-IB with the rDNA promoter. SL1/TIF-IB is involved in stabilization of nucleolar transcription factor 1/UBTF on rDNA. Formation of SL1/TIF-IB excludes the association of TBP with TFIID subunits.
