Description

Human Tankyrase 2 ELISA

TNKS2 (Tankyrase 2) activates the Wnt signalling pathway by mediating the PARsylation of AXIN1 and AXIN2. these are 2 essential components of the beta-catenin destruction complex. Formation of this complex results in PARsylation target proteins being recognized by RNF146, which mediates their ubiquitination and resulting degradation. The PARsylatin of BLZF1 and CASC3 is also mediated by TNKS2. This is then followed by the recruitment of RNF146 leading to ubiquitination. In addition, TNKS2 mediates PARsylation of TERF1, which contributes to the regulation of telomere length. Polyadenylation-stimulated ADP-ribosyltransferase (PARsylation) is involved in a variety of processes, including the Wnt signalling pathway, telomere length, and vesicle trafficking. 26S proteasome activity is stimulated by TNKS2. Cherubism is a disease associated with TNKS2. Metabolism of proteins and misspliced GSK3beta mutants stabilize beta-catenin are pathways associated with TNKS2. TNKS is an important paralog of TNKS2. Enzyme binding and NAD+ ADP-ribosyltransferase activity are noted in gene ontology annotations as being related to TNKS2.
