Description
Human TBC1D5 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human TBC1D5 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser43-Ser266, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 28.86 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. TBC1 domain family member 5 is a ~89 kDa protein. May act as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for Rab family protein(s). For research use only.
May act as a GAP for RAB7A. Can displace RAB7A and retromer CSC subcomplex from the endosomal membrane to the cytosol; at least retromer displacement seems to require its catalytic activity. Required for retrograde transport of cargo proteins from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network (TGN); the function seems to require its catalytic activity. Involved in regulation of autophagy.
