Description

Human Tenascin-N ELISA

TNN (Tenascin N) is a gene for an extracellular matrix protein that binds to ITGA8:ITGB1, ITGAV:ITGB1, and ITGA4:ITGB1. TNN is crucial for hippocampal explant neurite outgrowth and cell migration. In addition, TNN inhibits preosteoblast proliferation and differentiation through Wnt canonical signalling during endochondral bone formation. TNN also promotes angiogenesis in tumours by lengthening, moving, and sprouting an endothelial cell. TNN, which is expressed in most breast tumours, may promote tumour development by assisting the migratory movements of breast cancer cells. Lipodystrophy, congenital generalized, type 1 are diseases associated with TNN. ECM proteoglycans and Degradation of the extracellular matrix are pathways associated with TNN. Identical protein binding and integrin-binding are noted as being associated with TN in the gene ontology annotations. An important paralog of TNN is TNC.
