Human TMPRSS3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Cys73-Thr454, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 44.15 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Transmembrane protease serine 3 is a ~49 kDa protein. Probable serine protease that plays a role in hearing. For research use only.
Acts as a permissive factor for cochlear hair cell survival and activation at the onset of hearing and is required for saccular hair cell survival. Activates ENaC (in vitro).
