Human TRABD2A Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala20-His360, with an N-terminal His-SUMO tag. Predicted molecular weight: 51.48 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Metalloprotease TIKI1 (TRABD2A) is a ~57 kDa protein. Metalloprotease that acts as a negative regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway by mediating the cleavage of the 8 N-terminal residues of a subset of Wnt proteins. For research use only.
Following cleavage, Wnt proteins become oxidized and form large disulfide-bond oligomers, leading to their inactivation. Able to cleave WNT3A, WNT5, but not WNT11. Required for head formation.
