Description
Human UGGT2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human UGGT2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning His1221-Arg1408, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.17 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. UDP-glucose:glycoprotein glucosyltransferase 2 (UGGT2) is a ~174 kDa protein. Recognizes glycoproteins with minor folding defects. For research use only.
Reglucosylates single N-glycans near the misfolded part of the protein, thus providing quality control for protein folding in the endoplasmic reticulum. Reglucosylated proteins are recognized by calreticulin for recycling to the endoplasmic reticulum and refolding or degradation.
