Description
Human UPB1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human UPB1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Trp121-Glu384, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 31.9 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Beta-ureidopropionase (UPB1) is a ~43 kDa protein. Catalyzes a late step in pyrimidine degradation. For research use only.
Converts N-carbamoyl-beta-alanine (3-ureidopropanoate) into beta-alanine, ammonia and carbon dioxide. Likewise, converts N-carbamoyl-beta-aminoisobutyrate (3-ureidoisobutyrate) into beta-aminoisobutyrate, ammonia and carbon dioxide (Probable). 1. van Kuilenburg, AB. et al.
