Description
Human USP21 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human USP21 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr220-Leu565, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 41.45 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 21 (USP21) is a ~62 kDa protein. Deubiquitinates histone H2A, a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional repression, thereby acting as a coactivator. For research use only.
Deubiquitination of histone H2A releaves the repression of di- and trimethylation of histone H3 at 'Lys-4', resulting in regulation of transcriptional initiation. Regulates gene expression via histone H2A deubiquitination. Deubiquitinates BAZ2A/TIP5 leading to its stabilization. Also capable of removing NEDD8 from NEDD8 conjugates but has no effect on Sentrin-1 conjugates.
