Description

Human USP6NL ELISA Kit (Small Sample Volume)

Human USP6NL ELISA kits are used to detect USP6 N-Terminal Like Protein (USP6NL) in tissue homogenates and other biological samples. USP6NL, also known as RN-tre, is a GTPase-activating protein for the small GTPases RAB43, RAB5A and RAB30, and so regulates membrane trafficking in the endocytic and secretory pathways. It is involved in receptor trafficking, and together with EPS8 it inhibits the internalisation of the EGF receptor. USP6NL also takes part in retrograde transport from endosomes to the Golgi apparatus, including the transport of Shiga toxin from early and recycling endosomes to the trans-Golgi network, and it is needed for the structural integrity of the Golgi complex. Altered expression of USP6NL has been reported in several cancers, including colorectal cancer, where it has been associated with tumour progression, so it is studied in vesicular trafficking and oncology.
