Description
Human VHL Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human VHL Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu70-Asp213, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 19.02 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. von Hippel-Lindau disease tumor suppressor (VHL) is a ~24 kDa protein. Involved in the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation via the von Hippel-Lindau ubiquitination complex. For research use only.
Seems to act as a target recruitment subunit in the E3 ubiquitin ligase complex and recruits hydroxylated hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) under normoxic conditions. Involved in transcriptional repression through interaction with HIF1A, HIF1AN and histone deacetylases. Ubiquitinates, in an oxygen-responsive manner, ADRB2. Acts as a negative regulator of mTORC1 by promoting ubiquitination and degradation of RPTOR.
