Human WAPL Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning His641-Asp838, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 24.99 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Wings apart-like protein homolog is a ~132 kDa protein. Regulator of sister chromatid cohesion in mitosis which negatively regulates cohesin association with chromatin. For research use only.
Involved in both sister chromatid cohesion during interphase and sister-chromatid resolution during early stages of mitosis. Couples DNA replication to sister chromatid cohesion. Cohesion ensures that chromosome partitioning is accurate in both meiotic and mitotic cells and plays an important role in DNA repair.
