Human ZNF76 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Glu395, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 45.91 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Specifically recognizes and binds the Staf-binding site (SBS), a consensus DNA-binding motif present in many promoters. Able to activate expression of small nuclear RNA (snRNA) transcribed by RNA polymerases II and III. Also regulates expression of mRNAs and acts as a DNA-binding transcription repressor that inhibits the activity of the TATA-binding protein (TBP).
