The Mouse ALCAM (Activated Leukocyte Cell Adhesion Molecule) ELISA Kit is a powerful tool designed for the accurate and sensitive measurement of ALCAM levels in mouse serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit is specifically engineered to ensure high specificity and reproducibility, allowing researchers to obtain reliable results for various research applications.ALCAM, also known as CD166, is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a crucial role in immune response and inflammation. It is involved in leukocyte migration, T-cell activation, and cell-cell adhesion, making it a key player in various physiological and pathological processes. The measurement of ALCAM levels can provide valuable insights into immune system function, inflammatory responses, and disease pathology.By utilizing the Mouse ALCAM ELISA Kit, researchers can gain a better understanding of the role of ALCAM in various biological processes and diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. This kit offers a reliable and efficient method for quantifying ALCAM levels, facilitating further research into novel therapeutic strategies and diagnostic approaches.
This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to the target protein. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and bind to the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody specific to the target protein is then added, followed by Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well, resulting in a color change. Only wells containing the target protein, detection antibody, and HRP conjugate will develop a blue color. The reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution, resulting in a yellow color. The optical density (OD) is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is directly proportional to the concentration of the target protein in the sample and is determined using a standard curve.
