Mouse CD34 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-Thr287, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 32.07 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Hematopoietic progenitor cell antigen CD34 is a ~40 kDa protein. Possible adhesion molecule with a role in early hematopoiesis by mediating the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or directly to stromal cells. For research use only.
Could act as a scaffold for the attachment of lineage specific glycans, allowing stem cells to bind to lectins expressed by stromal cells or other marrow components. Presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins.
