Mouse CDKN2A/p16INK4a Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ser135, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A (CDKN2A/p16INK4a) is a ~17 kDa protein. Acts as a negative regulator of the proliferation of normal cells by interacting strongly with CDK4 and CDK6. This inhibits their ability to interact with cyclins D and to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma protein.
