Mouse FGF21 Recombinant Protein (C-Strep)
Mouse FGF21 Recombinant Protein (C-Strep) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Ala29-Ser210, with a C-terminal Strep tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.07 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Fibroblast growth factor 21 is a ~23 kDa protein. Stimulates glucose uptake in differentiated adipocytes via the induction of glucose transporter SLC2A1/GLUT1 expression (but not SLC2A4/GLUT4 expression). For research use only.
Activity probably requires the presence of KLB. Regulates systemic glucose homeostasis and insulin sensitivity.
