Mouse GDF2 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser319-Arg428, with a C-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Growth/differentiation factor 2 is a ~47 kDa protein. Potent circulating inhibitor of angiogenesis. For research use only.
Signals through the type I activin receptor ACVRL1 but not other Alks. Signaling through SMAD1 in endothelial cells requires TGF-beta coreceptor endoglin/ENG.
