Description

Pig ITGb1 ELISA Kit

Pig ITGb1 ELISA kits are used to detect Integrin Beta 1 (ITGb1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and other biological samples. ITGb1, also known as integrin beta-1 or CD29, is the most widely shared beta subunit of the integrin family of cell adhesion receptors. It pairs with many alpha subunits to form receptors for extracellular matrix components, including collagen, fibronectin, laminin, vitronectin and thrombospondin, and the alpha-4/beta-1 pairing binds VCAM1. Through these interactions ITGb1 regulates cell adhesion, laminin matrix deposition, endothelial cell motility and angiogenesis, and it contributes to osteoblast compaction and mineralized bone nodule formation, as well as to sperm-egg fusion. It can also serve as a platform for activation of kinases such as SRC and PKC. Because integrin signalling shapes cell migration and tissue remodeling, ITGb1 is a common target in cancer, inflammation and developmental biology research.
