Description

Rat ADORA1 ELISA Kit (Small Sample Volume)

Rat ADORA1 ELISA kits are used to detect Adenosine A1 Receptor (ADORA1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. ADORA1 is the adenosine A1 receptor, a G protein-coupled receptor that responds to extracellular adenosine and signals mainly through inhibitory G proteins such as GNAI2, which suppress adenylyl cyclase and lower cyclic AMP. It is abundant in the brain, heart, kidney and adipose tissue, where it slows heart rate, reduces neuronal excitability and neurotransmitter release, and influences renal blood flow and lipolysis. Because adenosine accumulates during hypoxia, ischaemia and high metabolic demand, ADORA1 is considered a protective sensor of tissue stress, and it is a target of interest in cardiovascular, neurological and sleep research.
