Description

Rat CORO1A ELISA Kit

Rat CORO1A ELISA kits are used to detect Coronin 1A (CORO1A) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. CORO1A, or coronin 1A, is an actin-binding protein expressed most strongly in haematopoietic cells, particularly T cells, B cells, neutrophils and macrophages. It is a component of the cortical cytoskeleton of highly motile cells and is involved in actin remodelling, membrane invagination and the formation of protrusions required for cell movement. In macrophages infected with mycobacteria, CORO1A is retained on the phagosomal membrane and prevents phagosome-lysosome fusion, which helps the pathogen survive. Loss-of-function variants cause a form of primary immunodeficiency with severe T cell lymphopenia, recurrent infections and lymphoproliferation, so CORO1A is a useful target in immune cell migration, T cell survival and host-pathogen research.
