The Recombinant 4E-BP1/EIF4EBP1 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C110038) against EIF4EBP1. This gene encodes one member of a family of translation repressor proteins. The protein directly interacts with eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), which is a limiting component of the multisubunit complex that recruits 40S ribosomal subunits to the 5' end of mRNAs. Interaction of this protein with eIF4E inhibits complex assembly and represses translation. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC and IP applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of K-562, A431, HL-60, HeLa, RAW264.7, C6, IHC analysis of Human colon cancer and IF analysis of Hela. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, cytosol.
