The Recombinant Caveolin-3 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C121536) against Caveolin-3. The 21-24 kDa integral proteins, caveolins, are the principal structural components of the cholesterol/sphingolipid-enriched plasma membrane microdomain caveolae. Three members of the caveolin family (caveolin-1, -2, and -3) have been identified with different tissue distributions. Caveolins form hetero- and homo-oligomers that interact with cholesterol and other lipids. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Mouse heart, Rat heart and IHC analysis of Human cardiac muscle, Human liver(Negative tissue). The target is localized to the membrane.
