The Recombinant CD46 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C320164) against CD46. The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein and is a regulatory part of the complement system. The encoded protein has cofactor activity for inactivation of complement components C3b and C4b by serum factor I, which protects the host cell from damage by complement. In addition, the encoded protein can act as a receptor for the Edmonston strain of measles virus, human herpesvirus-6, and type IV pili of pathogenic Neisseria. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC-P applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of K562, MOLT-4, A549, HeLa, Jurkat and IHC analysis of Human placenta.
