The Recombinant CPT1B Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C331577) against CPT1B. Carnitine palmitoyltransferase-1 (CPT1), localized to the mitochondrial outer membrane, translocates fatty acids across the mitochondrial membranes and catalyzes the rate-limiting step of β-oxidation. There are three isoforms of this enzyme: CPT1A (liver), CPT1B (muscle), and CPT1C (brain). Deficiency of CPT1A results in an autosomal recessive mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation disorder. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Human heart. The target is localized to the mitochondrion outer membrane.
