The Recombinant eEF1A1 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C171431) against eEF1A1. eEF1A, also named elongation factor Tu (EF-Tu), is one of the eukaryotic elongation factors (eEFs), that function in translation. eEF1A binds GTP and interacts with amino acyl-tRNAs to promote the recruitment of amino acyl-tRNAs to the A-site of the ribosome. After GTP hydrolysis, GDP-eEF1A leaves the ribosome and is later converted back to the GTP-eEF1A by eEF1B. eEF1A is phosphorylated under certain conditions, indicating that its activity is regulated at the post-translational level. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IF applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of MCF7, PANC-1, Neuro-2a, Rat kidney and IF analysis of MCF7. The target is localized to the cytosol, nucleus, plasma membrane.
