Recombinant Gelsolin Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant Gelsolin Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C131517) against Gelsolin. Gelsolin also named as actin-depolymerizing factor, ADF, AGEL or Brevin, is an 83 kDa protein that shares structural and functional homology to villin and adseverin/scinderin. Gelsolin plays an important role in actin filament assembly by capping and severing actin proteins in a Ca2+-dependent manner. Gelsolin is important for cellular events (e.g., membrane ruffling, chemotaxis, ciliogenesis) that require cytoskeletal remodeling. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of HeLa, C2C12, BRL. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton.
