Human IL beta/IL1B Recombinant Protein

Interleukin-1 beta (IL1 beta or IL1B) also known as catabolin, is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL1 is a pleiotropic cytokine that contributes to cortical inflammation, cell growth and tissue regeneration. The IL1 superfamily is made up of three species: IL1A (IL1 alpha), IL1B (IL1 beta), and the receptor antagonist, IL1Ra. Interleukin (IL)-1 has been connected to Th1/Th2 immune responses in clinical studies, and it has been implicated in the development of successful pregnancy. Interleukin (IL) 1 gene polymorphisms that are proinflammatory and promote higher levels of IL-1beta activity raise the risk for hypochlorhydria and distal gastric cancer. Possible associations between the IL1B polymorphisms and SSc susceptibility have been identified. Finally, the IL2-384-G allele may be a sign of SSc's circumscribed form (SSc). Human IL beta/IL1B Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
