Human M-CSF/CSF1 Recombinant Protein

Macrophage colony-stimulating factor 1, or CSF1, is a single-pass membrane protein that is disulfide linked as a homodimer or heterodimer. Granulocyte / macrophage colony-stimulating factors are cytokines that regulate the production, differentiation, and function of two white cell populations in the blood: granulocytes and monocytes/macrophages. M-CSF/CSF-1 is thought to promote monocyte survival, conversion to macrophages, and macrophage development. M-CSF/CSF-1 is a secreted cytokine that encourages hemopoietic stem cells to differentiate into macrophages or other related cell types. It binds to the Colony Stimulating Factor 1 receptor. M-CSF/CSF-1 may also be involved in the development of the placenta, according to studies. M-CSF/CSF-1 is secreted extracellularly as a disulfide-linked homodimer in its active form, which is believed to be produced by proteolysis of membrane-bound precursors. CSF-1/M-CSF induces the monocyte/macrophage cell line. It's also involved in immunological responses, bone metabolism, lipoprotein clearance, fertility and pregnancy. M-CSF/CSF-1 in the infarcted myocardium may have an active role in healing beyond its action on monocyte/macrophage cells, as it regulates endothelial cell chemokine expression. Human M-CSF/CSF1 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
