Human Ube2H Recombinant Protein

UBE2H is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating E2 family whose members perform the second step in the ubiquitination reaction. Ubiquitination is thought to be important for a variety of cellular processes now, rather than just the breakdown of protein. The fate of the substrate is greatly influenced by the number of ubiquitin molecules bound and how they are inter-connected in the ubiquitin-conjugation reaction. To handle this complexity and to allow enough ubiquitination in time and space, a highly complex conjugation machinery has been created. In a step-by-step manner, ubiquitin is activated by an ubiquitin-activating enzyme (E1), which transmits the ubiquitin to a group of ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s). E2s that have been loaded with ubiquitin are interacting with ubiquitin protein ligases (E3s) and, consequentially, receiving the ubiquitin linkage. These three key enzymes operate in a hierarchical structure, with two E1s and 35 E2s having been discovered and hundreds of E3s have been identified in people. Human Ube2H Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
