The Recombinant MAO-A Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C221516) against MAO-A. Monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A), a mitochondrial enzyme, catalyzes the degradation of monoamines. Studies show that increased expression of MAO-A promotes prostate cancer metastasis by activating the Shh-IL6-RANKL signaling network. In addition, MAO-A expression in adipose tissue macrophages is upregulated in aging, leading to the reduction of noradrenaline availability in adipose tissue. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human and Mouse samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of A549 (Negative control), HepG2, Mouse brain and IHC analysis of Human liver cancer, Mouse small intestine. The target is localized to the mitochondrion membrane.
