The Recombinant MSH2 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C311227) against MSH2. This locus is frequently mutated in hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HNPCC). When cloned, it was discovered to be a human homolog of the E. coli mismatch repair gene mutS, consistent with the characteristic alterations in microsatellite sequences (RER+ phenotype) found in HNPCC. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC, IF and IP applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of HeLa, IHC analysis of Human esophagus, Human tonsil, IF analysis of HeLa and IP analysis of HeLa cells extracts. The target is localized to the nucleus.
