Recombinant MTAP Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant MTAP Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C221429) against MTAP. MTAP is an enzyme essential for the salvage pathway for both adenine and methionine synthesis. MTAP catalyzes the cleavage of 5’-methylthioadenosine into adenine and 5-methylthio-D-ribose-1-phosphate. Adenine is then used to generate AMP whereas 5-methylthio-D-ribose-1-phosphate is converted into methionine. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human and Mouse samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of A549 (Negative control), HT-29, HeLa, NIH/3T3 and IHC analysis of Human breast. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, nucleus.
