The Recombinant Perilipin-2 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C131576) against Perilipin-2. ADFP also known as ADRP (adipocyte differentiation related protein), adipophilin, or perilipin-2, is a member of PAT family which is responsible for the transportation of lipids and the formation of lipid droplets. ADRP is localized on the surface of lipid droplets in a variety of tissues and cell lines. ADRP is not detected in undifferentiated cells but increases rapidly to high levels when adipocyte precursors differentiate into adipocytes. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Mouse brain. The target is localized to the lipid droplet.
