SVC Matrix Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Asp223, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.79 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Matrix protein is a ~25 kDa protein. Plays a major role in assembly and budding of virion, by recruiting cellular partners of the ESCRT complexes that play a key role in releasing the budding particle from the host membrane.
