Description

Human ADO ELISA Kit

Human ADO ELISA kits are used to detect Adenosine (ADO) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological samples. Adenosine (ADO) is a purine nucleoside made of adenine attached to a ribose sugar, present in all cells as a component of ATP, RNA and signaling molecules such as cyclic AMP. Extracellular adenosine is generated from the breakdown of released ATP and ADP by CD39 and CD73 and acts through four G protein-coupled receptors, A1, A2A, A2B and A3. Through these receptors it regulates heart rate and coronary blood flow, sleep and neuronal excitability, inflammation and immune cell function. Adenosine levels rise rapidly in tissues under hypoxia or injury, and it has been associated with ischemia, inflammation and the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, which makes it a focus of research in cardiovascular disease, neuroscience and cancer immunology.
