Description
Human GRPR Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human GRPR Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Lys114, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 39.44 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) is a ~43 kDa protein. Receptor for gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP). For research use only.
Signals via association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, resulting in Akt phosphorylation. Contributes to the regulation of food intake. Contributes to the perception of prurient stimuli and transmission of itch signals in the spinal cord that promote scratching behavior, but does not play a role in the perception of pain. Contributes primarily to nonhistaminergic itch sensation.
