Human RNASE6 Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Human RNASE6 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in yeast cells, spanning Trp24-Leu150, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 15.97 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Ribonuclease K6 is a ~17 kDa protein. Ribonuclease which shows a preference for the pyrimidines uridine and cytosine. For research use only.
Has potent antibacterial activity against a range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including P.aeruginosa, A.baumanii, M.luteus, S.aureus, E.faecalis, E.faecium, S.saprophyticus and E.coli. Causes loss of bacterial membrane integrity, and also promotes agglutination of Gram-negative bacteria. Probably contributes to urinary tract sterility. Bactericidal activity is independent of RNase activity.
