Description
MoMLV Reverse Transcriptase/RT Recombinant Protein (C-His)
MoMLV Reverse Transcriptase/RT Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr660-Pro1336, with a C-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Gag-Pol polyprotein is a ~194 kDa protein. Plays a role in budding and is processed by the viral protease during virion maturation outside the cell. For research use only.
During budding, it recruits, in a PPXY-dependent or independent manner, Nedd4-like ubiquitin ligases that conjugate ubiquitin molecules to Gag-Pol, or to Gag-Pol binding host factors. Interaction with HECT ubiquitin ligases probably links the viral protein to the host ESCRT pathway and facilitates release.
