Description
Mouse CIRBP Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Mouse CIRBP Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala2-Glu172, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 45.30 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from 50 mM TrisHCl pH 8.0, 150 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA, 4% trehalose, 1% mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRBP) is a ~18 kDa protein. Cold-inducible mRNA binding protein that plays a protective role in the genotoxic stress response by stabilizing transcripts of genes involved in cell survival. For research use only.
Promotes assembly of stress granules (SGs), when overexpressed. Seems to play an essential role in cold-induced suppression of cell proliferation. Acts as a translational repressor. Acts as a translational activator.
