The Mouse PGF2 Alpha (Prostaglandin F2 Alpha) ELISA Kit is a highly reliable and sensitive assay designed for the accurate detection of PGF2 Alpha levels in mouse serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit provides precise and reproducible results, making it ideal for various research applications.PGF2 Alpha is a key prostaglandin involved in various physiological processes, including inflammation, vasoconstriction, and smooth muscle contraction. It is also implicated in reproductive functions and plays a role in mediating the female menstrual cycle. The measurement of PGF2 Alpha levels can provide valuable insights into these biological processes and pathological conditions. This ELISA kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, allowing for the precise quantification of PGF2 Alpha levels in biological samples. Researchers can use this kit to investigate the role of PGF2 Alpha in various disease states, such as reproductive disorders, inflammation, and cardiovascular diseases, advancing our understanding of these conditions and potentially identifying new therapeutic targets.
This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with the target antigen. Standards or samples are added along with a biotinylated detection antibody. The target antigen present in the sample competes with the immobilized antigen for binding to the detection antibody. After incubation, Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is then added, resulting in a color change. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the concentration of the target antigen in the sample. The reaction is stopped by the addition of stop solution, and the color changes from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of the target protein is calculated by comparing the OD values of the samples to the standard curve.
