The Recombinant ALDH1A1 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C223220) against ALDH1A1. ALDH1A1(Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 1 member A1), also named as ALDC, ALDH1 and PUMB1, belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family. The ALDH1A1 gene encodes a liver cytosolic isoform of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, an enzyme involved in the major pathway of alcohol metabolism after alcohol dehydrogenase. ALDH1A1 plays a critical role in protection against oxidative stress-induced cytotoxicity in lens epithelial cells. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human and Mouse samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC-P applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of K562, 3T3 and IHC analysis of Human Cholangiocarcinoma. The target is localized to the cytoplasm.
