The Recombinant Caspase-7 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C421496) against Caspase-7. Caspase-7, also named as CMH-1, Mch3 and ICE-LAP3, has been identified as a major contributor to the execution of apoptosis. Caspase-7, like caspase-3, is an effector caspase that is responsible for cleaving downstream substrates such as ADP-ribose polymerase and PARP. During apoptosis, caspase-7 is activated through proteolytic processing by upstream caspases at Asp23, Asp198, and Asp206 to produce the mature subunits. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Mouse spleen, Rat spleen and IHC analysis of Mouse colon, Rat colon. The target is localized to the cytoplasm.
