Recombinant GAP43 Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant GAP43 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C110492) against GAP43. The protein encoded by this gene has been termed a 'growth' or 'plasticity' protein because it is expressed at high levels in neuronal growth cones during development and axonal regeneration. This protein is considered a crucial component of an effective regenerative response in the nervous system. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC, IF, IP and ELISA applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of U-87 MG. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, membrane.
